- Junior Foreman (Factory): Candidates must possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. A Mechanical Engineering degree would be considered a higher qualification.
Important Exception for Junior Tradesman Posts:
It is explicitly stated that candidates who do not possess the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in specific trades are not eligible for the posts of Junior Tradesman, even if they hold a higher qualification. This applies to trades like Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Electrician, Welder, Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, AC Mechanic, and Sheet Metal. Therefore, a mechanical engineering degree alone would not make one eligible for any of the Junior Tradesman positions without the required ITI certificate and apprenticeship.
